Economic Stimulus Plan

Have you heard that Uncle Sam may be sending you a check in the mail soon? The Senate is set to vote this coming week on an economic stimulus plan that would give most Americans a tax rebate. U.S. leaders are hoping that the plan will do exactly what it is says... stimulate the economy. Those who are single would get $600. Those married filing jointly would get $1200. Those with children would get an additional $300 per child under the plan. Woohoo!!! Having triplets is going to pay off after all. The plan may change between now and next week and they may vote it down, but all I have to say is bring it on. We could definitely use an extra $2,100.

Question: Assuming the Senate passes the Plan, what are you going to do with your rebate?

I would so love to get a check in the mail!!! I don't know if I would qualify for getting a check, seeing as how I don't have an income. The $300 per kid is a nice perk! If we get some cash back, I plan on paying off some debt. I really hope that it passes!

Probably wouldn't be enough for a bigger house with an extra bedroom, huh? I vote for a fence in the backyard. :)

Wow! Wouldn't that be nice. We had Braden just in time!

A fence would be nice, but I don't think $2100 would be enough to cover it. Maybe we can put up half of the fence this year and half next year.

Julie, you would have one heck of a glider. Would that be for the baby or Jud?

We will probably put it with our tax return and try to pay off the van!!!

You should buy the supplies, which 2100 would probably cover, then let Jon help you BUILD it!!! :) (Anna, you can come over with the kids while they are working!)

HA! Jud posted that comment. But I will reply. It would be for Jud! LOL! For all those nights that he is going to be getting up feeding the baby!!

We are really hoping this new baby will be born in time so that we can add an extra $300 to our total! Hurry baby and get here!!!

Joking aside, we have committed this year to work on paying off the last of our student loans. So a little extra cash would go a long way in this effort! We have our fingers crossed that it will pass!

Here are some of the details, just in case you haven't seen them yet.

Single taxpayers that have less than $75,000 (married $150,000)in adjusted gross income will get the full refund. The amounts are correct, $600 per adult (so $1200 if married) and $300 per child.

I'm with the morrow family. Fence is on order
